Simple Pleasures


A few simple pleasures...
Being kissed in the rain.
Folding fresh clean crisp sheets.
Answering the front door and being asked if I could come out to play hide and seek.
Understanding the difference between love and sex.
Being responsible for my own happiness.
Having absolutely no regrets in my life.
Cooking dinner in the nude.
Dancing on a rooftop.
Being told I am beautiful first thing in the morning.
Finding a twenty dollar bill in an old wallet.
Blackberry tea.
Being greeted at the front door by my dogs, Rascal and Pepper.
Lending an ear to a friend.
Being kissed or lightly bitten on the neck and having shivers go down my spine.
Watching the Navy Seals exercise on the beach.
My fathers smile.
A baby’s giggle.
The sexual tension between me and my Luva.
Breakfast in bed.
Learning something new everyday.
Listening to jazz.
Banana popsicles on a hot day.
Watching a high school football game.
Tending to my roses.
Going to church.
Listening to a storyteller.
Putting the secret ingredient into everything I cook...Love.
Watching the ocean.
A random act of kindness.
Home made apple pie.
Watching Pelicans fly.
PB&J sandwiches.
Bubble baths.
Blowing bubbles.
Dancing in the streets.
Getting a manicure and pedicure.
The smell of wet sagebrush.
Looking at photographs.
Cheering any victory small or large.
Taking a nap.
The smell of freshly brewed coffee or tea.
Eating a fresh mango.
Watching the clouds float by.
Stargazing.
Reading.
Delivering food to the homeless and shut ins.
Volunteering to clean the beaches and riverbanks.

    cooking dinner in the nude? aren't you afraid of getting burned? :-D

    or maybe I've just got a propensity towards burning myself. I seam to manage it while cooking (baking usually) even when fully clothed.
