"Ring out, wild bells" from In Memoriam
by Lord Alfred Tennyson
Ring out, wild bells, to the wild sky,
The flying cloud, the frosty light:
The year is dying in the night;
Ring out, wild bells, and let him die.
Ring out the old, ring in the new,
Ring, happy bells, across the snow:
The year is going, let him go;
Ring out the false, ring in the true.
Ring out the grief that saps the mind
For those that here we see no more;
Ring out the feud of rich and poor,
Ring in redress to all mankind.
Ring out a slowly dying cause,
And ancient forms of party strife;
Ring in the nobler modes of life,
With sweeter manners, purer laws.
Ring out the want, the care, the sin,
The faithless coldness of the times;
Ring out, ring out my mournful rhymes
But ring the fuller minstrel in.
Ring out false pride in place and blood,
The civic slander and the spite;
Ring in the love of truth and right,
Ring in the common love of good.
Ring out old shapes of foul disease;
Ring out the narrowing lust of gold;
Ring out the thousand wars of old,
Ring in the thousand years of peace.
Ring in the valiant man and free,
The larger heart, the kindlier hand;
Ring out the darkness of the land,
Ring in the Christ that is to be.
My New Years Resolutions are;
Drink at least eight glasses of water per day. I keep being told by my doctors that I suffer from dehydration. As of right now I drink six glasses a day and I know I need to drink more!
I am going to forgive myself. I must stop carring around the gulit and blame for someone else's transgressions. Thanks jules! I am going to continue taking my meds. everyday. Most of you know that I struggle with this on a daily basis.
I am going to continue my belly dancing classes and give a performance with the rest of the class. Candy, don't you dare call me a "teachers pet" LOL!
I want to improve my sex life! Explore new boundaries and bring more fantasies to life. Find out what may be lurking in the shadows...An experiment in better living, if you will.
To continue to work toward my career goals.
Now, I know these may not seem like much to all of you however, these goals are realistic and attainable. =0)
Tonight I am the designated driver for a party, with friends. I hope that each and everyone of you has a safe and Happy New Year! See you next year...
Comments are always appreciated.

Those are interesting goals for the new year. Makes me evaluate what mine should be for 2007. Perhaps I should take up belly dancing... at least for the photographic possibilities.

That belly dancing sounds like fun! I have a friend who teaches it. Unfortunately for me she lives in Hong Kong - or I'd be shaking my tush right along side ya! Happy New Year, honey! Let us all hope that 2007 is a MUCH better year!

Great resolutions.....I have a GREAT book for you to help with the second to last goal. It's called "52 Invitations to Grrrreat Sex" by Laura Corn. Let's just say it's livened things up for us. ALOT. The whole book is these tear out invitations, half for men and half for women, that come with instructions of things to do. I hope you check it out.
Found your blog through The Fat Lady Sings. Thanks for commenting on my post on her site.
Happy New Year!
