Being Grateful

“Develop an attitude of gratitude, and give thanks for everything that happens to you, knowing that every step forward is a step toward achieving something bigger and better than your current situation.” ~ Brian Tracey.

Today I am grateful for;
  • Since my last post BOTH of the computers in my home died. Rainman’s went out first and he offered to pay to get his fixed… with his own money! Wahoo! My computer died last Thursday and I was able to find a HP Pavilion Special Edition A6745F tower for under $500.00 including a two year warranty.
  • My wonderful and supportive father, who is there for me through everything. I am so lucky to have him.
  • My previous husband Jim and all the support he has always shown me.
  • The mistakes I make...daily...and for the people who let me know about them.
  • Willingness to examine myself honestly [sometimes painfully].

  • Learning to meditate and understanding how significant it is to still my mind so that I can touch my emotions.
  • Seeing an new perspective through someone else’s eyes.
  • Being able to distant myself from the actions of others so that everything they do doesn’t directly affect me.
  • Being in the moment and feeling life around me.
  • Having the strength to do things that scare me.
  • The sensual smell of books.
  • The inspiring notes of jazz music.
  • Sunshine in the winter days – I take the sun’s rays to be the Universe smiling on me.

How about you, what are you grateful for? Comments are always appreciated

Being Grateful

Today I am grateful for;

  • Knowing that most of the things I am grateful for cannot be purchased. They are experienced.
  • The life and path I chose for myself at a young age.
  • I am grateful for my belief in a higher power and creator.
  • My legs because I love walking and riding my bike for the pure pleasure it brings.
  • Knowing the sun will come up tomorrow, no matter how grey today is.
  • Having the strength to do things that scare me
  • Learning to meditate and understanding how significant it is to still my mind so that I can touch my emotions
  • Being able to distant myself from the actions of others so that everything they do doesn’t directly affect me
  • My freedom to walk this earth as I please – this is a privilage many women around the world do not have
  • Counseling, without which I would have caved long ago to the dark side.

*******

After seeing this video, I really want one of these. Warning this is NOT worksafe!

*******

Okay everyone, have a great weekend!

Being Grateful

Today I am grateful for;

  • Being alive and loving every minute of the day.
  • For finding a new perspective on life.
  • Suddenly yesterday’s worries and stresses really don’t seem all that devastating anymore.
  • Embracing the good and the bad and I cling to the memories and love them.
  • For being given and deserving second chances in life and taking full advantage of them.
  • Midnight swimming and surfing in the warm waters of La Jolla Shores.
  • The fact that I can still surf after all the damage I have done to my knees.
  • Having friends around to remind me of happy, playful childhood memories.
  • Being able to laugh at myself and tolerate the teasing of friends.
  • The respect and love I get on a daily basis from most of my family and friends.
  • The many great teachers who have aided in the shaping of my adventurous and interesting life, ever unfolding in new and exciting ways.
  • Having the courage to be fully self-expressed and being comfortable in my own skin.
  • The rich smells of jasmine, sage and eucalyptus that are always in the air in San Diego.
  • That my pink vodka lemonade sno cones turned out and everyone liked them!
  • For all of you who have reached out to me in friendship. I love your comments and your emails. =0)
  • The fact that today is the last day of the San Diego Comic Con 2007, it is time for Rainman to come back to earth. ***giggles***

How was your weekend?

Being Grateful

Thank you Benita for the image!

I am grateful for;

My family. I don’t know how I could have gone this far in life and reached my goals without their love and support. My family means the world to me, and I love’m to pieces!

My friends. You understand and accept me for who I am. Each and every one of you, including those who have reached out to me online. I appreciate and love you all.

My Accountant. Because of him I will have some excellent write offs come tax time. Oh and I can’t forget my Broker for some excellent advice for investments in 2006. Whoo Hoo!

My Doctors and my local Pharmacist. They go above and beyond the call of duty to help me, help myself.

Postal workers. All of my packages, correspondences and yes, even my bills arrive on time. I say good job, everyone!

The kindness of strangers. You have let me in on the freeway, opened doors for me and allowed me to go in front of you in line when I had only one item to purchase. This evening, I had a Christmas dinner with an old friend, Tokoda. The elderly couple at the next table paid for our dinner! When Tokoda asked for our bill our waiter informed us that they had already paid for it including a sizeable tip for him. Wow! How cool is that?

My Secret Santa gift. Oh yes, this is amazing! Warning! Not safe for work! I don’t want to see anyone get fired! Yes, I know who it is from, I am just not sayin! I am such a naughty girl...I love it!
So tell me, what are you grateful for?

Being Grateful

I am grateful for;

That all of my complaints, problems, frustrations, and worries are really small in comparison to others.
There is food in my home.
My roof is not leaking, the pipes are not frozen, and my water heater works.
My dogs have been fed.
Rusty has had a meal, a shower, has a roof over his head and I know exactly where he is.
The electricity bill has been paid. ( This months bill $328.00)
My property taxes have been paid for the year.
No one asked to borrow money from me today =0)
It is raining in San Diego right now!
I am making most of my friends handmade Christmas gifts this year.
The fact that I will not use any credit cards for Christmas gifts.
If I don't have the money to pay for something it will just wait until I do and I am okay with that.
The fact that I will not be sending out Christmas cards this year because I want to save a tree.
I will be sending out Christmas Greetings via email. I know it is not the same as getting a handwritten note however my messages will come from the heart and be filled with love.
I mailed out packages for loved ones at the post office last week and there was only one person in line ahead of me.
My holiday baking starts next week, and that always fills me with joy and happiness.

What are you grateful for? Comments are always appreciated.

Being Grateful

Today I am grateful for;

We finally had some rainfall in our county. Wahoo!
The smell of rain.
Taking a walk in the morning or during a rain shower.
Hugging someone you really love in the pouring rain.
Long, slow deep kisses in the rain.
Taking off your clothes before we hit the front door.
Your smell, your touch and that sweet, sweet taste...unforgettable.
Waking up in the morning to find a love note on my brief case.
Seeing the sun break through a patch of clouds after two days of rain and realizing that today will be a good day!

What are you grateful for today? Comments are always appreciated.

Being Thankful

Today I am thankful for;

Once again, we are drama free =)
I am no longer feeling depressed.
For letting go and allowing myself to feel the hurt.
My feelings of despair have been replaced with hope.
That my oldest son finally contacted me and he is alive.
For my Luva, for rocking my world!
That Rainman says I make the best cinnamon bread ever!
My father for listening and holding my hand.
For each and everyone of you, especially those of you who became concerned(you know who you are) and reached out to me, thank you!
